The Monument in London

THE MONUMENT IN LONDON

Sometimes I keep forgetting how time passes…
It’s been so long ago, but we have it here, like it was built just 50-60 years ago.
What I like in The Monument in London picture is the play of lights and shadows. Their game on the Monument picture is constantly changing as the light moves on during the day.
I took it a week ago in London when I was wandering on the river Thames’ banks looking for a good spot for a portrait (which I hope to use soon).

The light…

That day the light was very cooperative, and allowed me to take a photograph which I wanted. I must admin that I am very ‘architectural’ guy. I take lots of pictures of buildings, mouldings and entrances. I just love it…

The darkroom printing…

Printing of this picture was a very nice experience. I have printed it on a Ilford Warmtone paper. For I have used a Kodak Dektol that Kodak sadly doesn’t manufacture anymore.
